Sound and voice calls
Hear what the other computer is playing, talk to the person there over a voice call, or write in the chat.
Hear the other computer's sound#
Open Session tools in the toolbar and switch on Sound to hear what the other computer is playing.
- If the browser holds the sound back, the viewer shows "Click to enable sound": click once.
- If sound is switched off for the session on the other computer, you are told so and it stays off.
Voice call#
- Open Session tools and press Start call under Voice call.
- Allow the microphone when your browser asks.
- The person at the other computer is asked first. The call starts only after they agree.
- Use Mute and Unmute while you talk, and End call when you are done.
- Your microphone is used only during the call.
- On the other computer, the microphone is on until the call or the session ends, and the session panel there shows that it is on.
- If the person there does not accept, or no microphone is found on your device, the viewer says which.
Chat#
Chat in the toolbar is a text chat between the two sides, inside the session. What you write is shown to the person at the other device. They can switch chat off for a session.
When sound or calls are missing#
Sound and voice calls are offered only when the other device supports them and allows them. A phone that is being helped offers neither. A team's policy can lock either one off on its computers.
